Words are like this pick and hammer each one chipping away and what God made beautiful in the beginning.
Parents what words are you speaking into your child’s life? They are words that will mold them into the person they will be. Will they be a kind and loving, compassionate person with self-worth. Or will they be someone who doubts that they have much to offer the world because of words like lazy, stupid, slow, you wont amount too much, wish I never had you.
The once young love you had ends with bitterness and words that hurt. Those words can stay around for a long time even when the lost love is forgotten.
Even words said is fun sometimes will be to close to home and should not be really said at all.
Words have the power to build us up or to tear us down in a heartbeat. Most will leave a chip in the wall of our lives.
There are so many people in the world that have been chipped at for so long their foundation is beginning to crumble and break away. We all fall short of the glory of God and need His forgiveness and grace.
We also need to learn how to give that forgiveness and grace to other people, to not be the person that will add-on more chips to someone. My cry to you is if you see someone who is not like you, and maybe even a little scary that your words would reveal the heart of God that lives inside of you. That you would be able to reach out and just love and share words of encouragement for that hungry soul.
If you words are not revealing God in our heart then you need to fall to your knees and get right with God before you chip away at any more of His children.
Proverbs 10: 18-21 Tn the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little. The lips of the righteous feed, but fools die for lack of wisdom.
I have been the broken child and the woman who believed she had no worth, God heals all things and I praise Him for His grace. Just be-careful the words you speak into someone’s live are they healing wise words or wicked and of little worth.
